Brief History
Hikari Nijino, or Kari, is a Japanese girl from the year 2053. History followed ours up until the 1950s, when a mysterious disaster burned much of the world's forests to the ground, leaving behind dead polluted soil that could no longer sustain life. As a result, her world blossomed into the digital age very quickly, and paper/wood-based commodities are extremely rare.
In her first year of high school, Kari found a mysterious pendent that allowed her to transform into a magical girl. Taking on the pseudonym Hoshikyo, she has the ability to travel through different universes and dimensions.
Due to how parallel worlds and universes function in her canon, every real universe is represented in her world as fiction. However, these overlaps are not always accurate, so the real universe may only share very limited people or concepts compared to the fictional version in her world. Because Kari is an avid consumer of media and a bit of a shut-in, the possibility of her recognizing a character is very high (with permission beforehand, of course).
Abilities
Her powers include a magical sword she can summon while transformed, various magic energy attack, shields, the ability to travel across worlds, teleportation, the ability to stop time (briefly) in a small area, magical armor that delays injuries while she's transformed, and increased stamina relative to how much magic she has left.
Additional abilities that can be used even when not transformed include a magic translator that automatically adjusts her language to the one used on her and a sixth sense with information that allows her to mentally search books and digital information without needing to read it.
There is also the Hoshiko spirit, the true source of her magic powers, that resides in her pendent. If her life is ever in danger, the spirit can take over her body and protect her. Kari has no control over this and is unsure whether the spirit can be trusted.
Personality
Quiet, shy, and awkward are words that once defined Kari, but as the spirit's magic influences her personality, she's become more outgoing and loud. She's downright obnoxious at times, and is prone to throwing insults and cutting words when she's mad or frustrated. As Kari, she tends to treat men with a certain level of disdain. As Hoshikyo, this is more subdued.
Kinks
WIP. OTA with regards to age and gender, but keep in mind Kari is only sexually attracted to women and is turned off by masculinity. As Hoshikyo she is a bit more open-minded, but will not seek out encounters with men. Additionally, because her uniform is magical, it cannot be taken off through conventional means, and attempting to cut through it will either not work or will cut her skin.
